The Promethean LP-1 was developed under the L&S Central Ohio Research Division [CORD] to meet the uncompromising reliability standards of professional end user teams. An overbuilt 7075-T6 housing is paired with a user-replaceable crumple hood that surrounds crystal-clear Japanese glass and patent-pending AuraWake circuitry.
AURAWAKE.
AuraWake™ is CORD’s patented, reliable utilization of shake-to-wake technology. Competitor shake-to-wake optics will auto shut-off after a set number of hours to conserve runtime, and a motion sensor reactivates the reticle once movement is detected. However, motion sensors may exhibit unreliability if damaged during impact, fostering a subsequent equipment failure upon weapon deployment.
To prevent catastrophic aiming system failure, CORD Instruments is proud to implement AuraWake™, a new partial shake-to-wake system that ties the motion sensor only to the circuit of the 65-MOA ring.
Following 5 minutes of non use, the LP-1’s outer CQB ring will “sleep,” yet maintain the 2-MOA dot on at all times. This provides a constant, action-ready aiming reference that cannot be interfered with upon motion sensor failure, while significantly increasing runtime.

The LP-1 with aurawake was worth the wait. It earns the max rating from me because the build quality is excellent and the reticle is better imo than the holosun 510c and 512 in regards to clarity with an astigmatism. I also give L&S the highest rating for customer service. They notified and gave me the option to wait for the optic version with added features that were developed and shipping was fast. I have 100% confidence in products with their name on it.

First impression this red dot feels very durable and will survive a combat environment. Buttons are crisp and provide feedback with gloves as well. Not mushy like other brands. The features are great and mounting system is solid. True test is to see how this red dot work under NVG’s and high round count. Will provide update and inputs later.
