Promethean LP-1.

The Promethean LP-1 was developed under the L&S Central Ohio Research Division [CORD] to meet the uncompromising reliability standards of professional end user teams. An overbuilt 7075-T6 housing is paired with a user-replaceable crumple hood that surrounds crystal-clear Japanese glass and patent-pending AuraWake circuitry.

AURAWAKE.

AuraWake™ is CORD’s patented, reliable utilization of shake-to-wake technology. Competitor shake-to-wake optics will auto shut-off after a set number of hours to conserve runtime, and a motion sensor reactivates the reticle once movement is detected. However, motion sensors may exhibit unreliability if damaged during impact, fostering a subsequent equipment failure upon weapon deployment.

To prevent catastrophic aiming system failure, CORD Instruments is proud to implement AuraWake™, a new partial shake-to-wake system that ties the motion sensor only to the circuit of the 65-MOA ring.

Following 5 minutes of non use, the LP-1’s outer CQB ring will “sleep,” yet maintain the 2-MOA dot on at all times. This provides a constant, action-ready aiming reference that cannot be interfered with upon motion sensor failure, while significantly increasing runtime.

Well I set out to destroy this when I bought it and it was difficult. After zeroing at 50 yards, I then attached it to an old quad rail and used it as a hammer to smash a cinder block into multiple pieces. Zero was not spot on when I put it back on my rifle but it was pretty darn close. Other tests included running over it with a Massey Ferguson on a gravel road, letting it soak in water for 48 hours. Then freezing the optic. Then putting it in the oven at 180 degrees for 3 hours. None of this has much effect on zero.
Finally got upset that I hadn’t been able to destroy it yet so took a 10lb sledge and smashed it. That did the trick.
All in all, the thing is a freaking tank. I will be replacing my EXPS3s with the LP1. Could not recommend enough.
Literally my only complaint is the windage and elevation adjustments don’t have a very strong felt “click” when you adjust. So when wearing ear pro it’s sometimes difficult to tell how many clicks you turned.

Super nice battle optic for the price. I only wish the detents on the zero adjustments were more substantial, but once you dial it in, it’s irrelevant. The crosshair on mine is very slightly canted, maybe a few degrees at most, which again doesn’t affect functionality but was hard for me to unsee at first. Now I don’t notice it.

I own. I love. I am buying another.

I’ve already put about 1k rounds with mine. Holds zero as it should, QD works well. Seems very tough, though I’m not qualified enough to say if it’s actually the toughest optic out there.
From what I can tell, all of L&S’s claims are spot on with this thing. Pick it up while the price is literally unbeatable.
