The Promethean LP-1 was developed under the L&S Central Ohio Research Division [CORD] to meet the uncompromising reliability standards of professional end user teams. An overbuilt 7075-T6 housing is paired with a user-replaceable crumple hood that surrounds crystal-clear Japanese glass and patent-pending AuraWake circuitry.
AURAWAKE.
AuraWake™ is CORD’s patented, reliable utilization of shake-to-wake technology. Competitor shake-to-wake optics will auto shut-off after a set number of hours to conserve runtime, and a motion sensor reactivates the reticle once movement is detected. However, motion sensors may exhibit unreliability if damaged during impact, fostering a subsequent equipment failure upon weapon deployment.
To prevent catastrophic aiming system failure, CORD Instruments is proud to implement AuraWake™, a new partial shake-to-wake system that ties the motion sensor only to the circuit of the 65-MOA ring.
Following 5 minutes of non use, the LP-1’s outer CQB ring will “sleep,” yet maintain the 2-MOA dot on at all times. This provides a constant, action-ready aiming reference that cannot be interfered with upon motion sensor failure, while significantly increasing runtime.

After patiently waiting for my pre-order I was stoked to take this thing to the range. Setup and user interface is a breeze. Definitely daylight bright. It pairs well with a magnifier and holds zero. Construction feels solid. 0.5 MOA adjustments are accurate and relatively easy to change with included tool or spent casing. Would highly recommend as an alternative to other common RDS at half the cost.

Reticle floats exactly like an EoTech
Housing is the same size as an EoTech exps3, same footprint
Not a holo – reticle is crisp
Sits just a little lower than an EoTech
The window has no hue whatsoever – clearer than a Vortex Razor. I would say it is the clearest glass I’ve looked through. Clearer than EoTech, holosun, vortex, aimpoint
The LP1 is priced right. Zero complaints whatsoever. It is definitely worth every penny. It meets or exceeds expectations.
If this is how Lead and Steel is entering the optic game…..they will go very very far.

Awesome optic
It replaced my Eotech. Kept having to change batteries. First off the reticle is super sharp. It’s unreal how clear it is. It hard to believe it’s not an etched reticle.
Fit and finish is 👌🏼.
I can’t wait for their pistol sight so i can replace my 509t with it
