The Promethean LP-1 was developed under the L&S Central Ohio Research Division [CORD] to meet the uncompromising reliability standards of professional end user teams. An overbuilt 7075-T6 housing is paired with a user-replaceable crumple hood that surrounds crystal-clear Japanese glass and patent-pending AuraWake circuitry.
AURAWAKE.
AuraWake™ is CORD’s patented, reliable utilization of shake-to-wake technology. Competitor shake-to-wake optics will auto shut-off after a set number of hours to conserve runtime, and a motion sensor reactivates the reticle once movement is detected. However, motion sensors may exhibit unreliability if damaged during impact, fostering a subsequent equipment failure upon weapon deployment.
To prevent catastrophic aiming system failure, CORD Instruments is proud to implement AuraWake™, a new partial shake-to-wake system that ties the motion sensor only to the circuit of the 65-MOA ring.
Following 5 minutes of non use, the LP-1’s outer CQB ring will “sleep,” yet maintain the 2-MOA dot on at all times. This provides a constant, action-ready aiming reference that cannot be interfered with upon motion sensor failure, while significantly increasing runtime.

Overall great optic and customer service. Definitely rugged and will trust on my home defense gun. Two small improvements I see can be done, 1st lense caps that are integrated into the outer housing. 2nd the brightness settings seem to jump greatly making it a bit difficult to get the right setting for my eye. Great job guys I’ll be buying more.

She’s beefy…but in a good way. Great clarity of the actual reticle. It is going to take me a minute to get used to the brightness adjustments being flipped from all the other red dots I have, but honestly having the “up” button closest to the shooter is a better way of doing it, IMO. I am super happy with the LP-1. The only thing better than the LP-1 is the “call an ambulance…but not for me!” sticker I got in the box. The video this sticker is based on has been a running gag in my family for at least 10 years. Too funny!

I love just about everything about this optic. Holds zero well. The reticle looks amazing, the housing seems extremely durable, and it is elegantly designed. Massive upgrade from my Romeo 5. The only small issues I have are the reticle is slightly canted and can really distract me when I notice it and the QD system leaves something to be desired as it doesnt apply pressure uniformly when being closed so its difficult to mount correctly. I’m happy with it overall but with the delays I would have thought some of these issues would have been caught during QC.
