The Promethean LP-1 was developed under the L&S Central Ohio Research Division [CORD] to meet the uncompromising reliability standards of professional end user teams. An overbuilt 7075-T6 housing is paired with a user-replaceable crumple hood that surrounds crystal-clear Japanese glass and patent-pending AuraWake circuitry.
AURAWAKE.
AuraWake™ is CORD’s patented, reliable utilization of shake-to-wake technology. Competitor shake-to-wake optics will auto shut-off after a set number of hours to conserve runtime, and a motion sensor reactivates the reticle once movement is detected. However, motion sensors may exhibit unreliability if damaged during impact, fostering a subsequent equipment failure upon weapon deployment.
To prevent catastrophic aiming system failure, CORD Instruments is proud to implement AuraWake™, a new partial shake-to-wake system that ties the motion sensor only to the circuit of the 65-MOA ring.
Following 5 minutes of non use, the LP-1’s outer CQB ring will “sleep,” yet maintain the 2-MOA dot on at all times. This provides a constant, action-ready aiming reference that cannot be interfered with upon motion sensor failure, while significantly increasing runtime.

Did not come with a battery, there was a hole in the foam for a battery. The mount could use 1 mount log to ensure better return to zero

I have one 10 hour range day with this red dot so far. Here are my initial impressions. This thing is built like a tank and was easy to zero. The dot gets nuclear bright. The dot remains solid when transitioning through targets. Going on the clock against a dedicated DM rifle on a mixed shirt and mid range course, it did well. time was a little slower at 200 meters, but it shined on the close targets. The glass was clear and the dot did not appear on the front window during the day. No experience with the night vision settings yet. All told, this is a solid dot at a good price : feature cost.

Good build quality and looks good with magnifier, and was impressed that they took the time to contact me about upgrading to the new design if I wanted to wait.
Battery cap should have a tether but at least if has a groove so I can add one.
Currently using on 556 AK with PA micro 3x magnifier.
Will be getting another unit for use on one of my ARs when they are in stock.
