The Promethean LP-1 V2 Breakdown

Rebelliously Innovative means Lead & Steel never rests…

Introducing the Promethean LP-1 v.2!

What’s new?

Updated Printed Control Board –

We changed out the old board for a new, more efficient printed control board to increase battery life and reliability. We found that the updated printed control board is also more durable than the previous one.

Ocular Lens Adjustment –

We tested a 90-degree ocular lens adjustment in effort to reduce environmental glare and found no difference in durability from the first generation.

Redesigned Housing –

We redesigned a number of features on the outside, including the housing. First, we added an improved, 2-step QD lever. We also raised the height of the center of the optic .10 to 1.64”, to better align with magnifier and accessory ecosystems. Finally, we sleekened and added lightening cuts to the body of the housing in effort to offset the added weight of the improved QD and higher integral mount. We also added drainage holes to better mitigate shelf pooling from rainfall or submersion.

Dimpled ID Grid –

We also added a dimpled ID grid to the second generation of Promethean LP-1 hoods, as well. Designed to be user-serviceable, the new hoods are interchangeable and feature a dimpled ID grid for numbers, notes or jokes.

(We suppose you could use the dimpled ID grid to actually record inventory with, duh, but it was designed for jokes…)

This second generation of the Promethean LP-1 is currently live as a pre-order available here, with orders expected to ship in October and pre orders ending on September 30.
