The Pandora PB-3 was developed under the L&S Central Ohio Research Division [CORD] to meet the quality standards of the discerning end user. Designed for durability with a 7075-T6 aluminum housing and lens sealing plates, the Pandora’s Box utilizes a 3-MOA reticle through a class-leading field of view. The popular ACRO® P2 footprint allows for ease of mounting and expands to a flush mount RMR footprint when paired with our Ghost Adapter Plate. Extended runtime is provided by the side-loading CR2032, and the PB-3 is IPX8 rated for dedicated maritime applications.

AuraWake™ is CORD’s patented, reliable utilization of shake-to-wake technology. Competitor shake-to-wake optics will auto shut-off after a set number of hours to conserve runtime, and a motion sensor reactivates the reticle once movement is detected. However, motion sensors may exhibit unreliability if damaged during impact, fostering a subsequent equipment failure upon weapon deployment.
To prevent catastrophic aiming system failure, CORD Instruments is proud to implement AuraWake™, a new partial shake-to-wake system that ties the motion sensor only to the circuit of the 32-MOA ring.
Following 5 minutes of non use, the PB-3’s outer CQB ring will “sleep,” yet maintain the 3-MOA dot on at all times. This provides a constant, action-ready aiming reference that cannot be interfered with upon motion sensor failure, while significantly increasing runtime.

Ghost RMR Adapter Plate (GAP):

The Ghost Plate was designed by our team of engineers as a proprietary solution to mounting a Pandora PB-3 to RMR slides. The optic encapsulates the entirety of the plate, giving the shooter a PB-3 that sits at a depth on par with a direct milled slide. The Ghost plate is manufactured entirely out of steel.
Anti-Reflective Device (ARD):

The ARD is designed to fit the Pandora PB-3 V2 optic. Please note that this product attaches to the objective lens side of the optic reducing reflection and adding a protective layer to the objective lens.

Finish Disclosure
All L&S aluminum components are finished in Type III hard coat anodize because of its surface hardness, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance. Type III adds a 0.003” layer of hard aluminum oxide to the substrate's surface. This layer is grown via a proprietary, several step electrolytic bath that prioritizes surface protection over all else, and the resultant color is dependent upon the saturation of compounds in the various baths, dye concentration, dye mix ratio, aluminum oxide case depth, starting smoothness of the part, etc. Housings, sealing plates, etc. may vary in color even within the same batch. It is nearly impossible to have a consistent shade/hue of brown or green, thereby making each PB-3 unique. The photos above are a representation of what you will receive, but it may not be 1:1. Even with the inherently inconsistent nature of anodizing, we consciously selected Type III Ano for surface finish longevity--to date, there is no cerakote (or other painted finish) that can beat it. Do not attempt to remove sealing plates or disassemble the optical assembly, which is purged, nitrogen-filled & sealed for fog resistance. Any attempted disassembly may void the warranty.

Have had a chance to mount and try the Pandora PB-3.
This may very well be the gold standard quality-wise, for red dots in this class right now.
The clarity of the dot and the easy-to-use increase/ decrease controls are the features you realize most when actually using it. The sturdy construction and clear glass give it a solid feel, and impressive image, which I definitely wanted to complement one of my most expensive handguns. Just remember to turn the dot off.

As a fan of the acro. But limited in my ability to find a p2 at a reasonable price I’m directly comparing this to a p1 and it’s a phenomenal sight. Bright dot, huge window, great features with the side load battery, oversized buttons, and utilizing the acro footprint is great. I have had no figment or lockup issues in use with my safariland 70 series on my 19x. Stellar red dot will most likely grab more In the future.

Sorry but that much money and NO SHAKE AWAKE!!! THATS STANDARD now, even the under $100 RDS have shake awake. A VERY ROBUST PRODUCT, but you’re offering too little for off asking so much, you have to take that into account these days.
