Shipping Policy

Thank you for visiting & shopping at Lead & Steel. Following are the terms & conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy. 

Ammunition Restrictions:

AK: No ammunition shipments.
CA: All orders must ship to an FFL. Please e-mail a copy of the FFL to customerservice@leadandsteel.com BEFORE ordering.
CT: Buyers of ammunition must provide ONE of the following:

  • A permit to carry a pistol or revolver.
  • A permit to sell, at retail, a pistol or revolver.
  • An eligibility certificate for a pistol or revolver.
  • A long gun eligibility certificate.
  • An ammunition certificate & motor vehicle operator’s license, passport or other valid form of identification issued by the federal government or a state or municipal government that contains such person’s date of birth & photograph.
  • Law Enforcement ID (Local, State, Federal)
  • Military ID

The document must be uploaded during checkout or e-mailed to customerservice@leadandsteel.com BEFORE ordering.

DC: No ammunition shipments.
HI: No ammunition shipments.
IL: Buyers of ammunition need to provide ONE of the following:

  • FOID & IL drivers license/ID
  • Concealed carry license & IL drivers license/ID
  • Law Enforcement purchase order (Local, State, Federal)
  • Military purchase order

The document must be uploaded during checkout or e-mailed to customerservice@leadandsteel.com BEFORE ordering.

MA: No ammunition shipments.
NJ: Buyers of handgun or hollowpoint ammunition need to provide ONE of the following:

  • NJ firearm purchaser ID
  • Handgun purchase permit
  • Handgun carry permit
  • Law Enforcement ID (Local, State, Federal)
  • Military ID

The document must be uploaded during checkout or e-mailed to customerservice@leadandsteel.com BEFORE ordering.

NY: All orders must ship to an FFL. Please e-mail a copy of the FFL to customerservice@leadandsteel.com BEFORE ordering.

As a buyer, you understand that if you attempt to have a restricted product shipped to these jurisdictions without following the above directions, your order will be shipped without ammunition.

Shipment processing time

All orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Orders are not shipped nor delivered on weekends or holidays.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via e-mail or telephone.

Shipping rates & delivery estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated & displayed at checkout.

Delivery delays can occasionally occur. Please contact us if the postal service loses your order. 

Shipment to APO/FPO addresses

Lead & Steel DOES NOT SHIP to APO/FPO/DPO addresses.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

Customs, Duties and Taxes

Lead & Steel is not responsible for any customs & taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

Damages

Lead & Steel is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.

Please save all packaging materials & damaged goods before filing a claim.

International Shipping

We currently do not ship outside the U.S.

Return Policy

Cancellation requests received one hour after order confirmation (& before shipment) will incur a 5% cancellation fee per our payment processor’s terms & conditions.

Regarding returns, we want you to be happy with your purchase.

Lead & Steel is happy to accept returns on items that are new & unused with original manufacturer’s packaging, or items that are defective, within 14 days of order delivery.

In cases where an item is defective, Lead & Steel is happy to pay for the return shipping after the manufacturer is contacted & an OEM replacement is not authorized.

In cases where the customer decides they no longer want an item, the customer covers the return shipping & a restocking fee of 20% will be applied to the refund, provided the product is new with original packaging.

In order to ensure quick turn-around for your return, we ask you that obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA) from us prior to returning the purchase.
