- Shake Awake: Holosun’s Shake Awake technology shuts the LED off during periods of motionlessness. The amount of time it takes for the LED to deactivate (enter Sleep Mode) is user programmable. Shake Awake can also be completely deactivated which keeps the optic powered on for up to 100k hours (certain models).
- Solar Failsafe: The Solar Failsafe technology is an innovative feature pioneered by Holosun. Solar Failsafe allows the sight to remain powered when your battery fails. I like all the cool features like an enclosed emmiter, solar power, shake-to-wake, and the tough frame. It has great battery-life. The only thing I wasn’t a big fan of was the mounting. Try to pickup a mounting plate if you anticipate this problem.

While I wish I got a green dot it works as it should and mounting wasn’t too much of a hassle. I personally don’t like the it mounts straight out the box so I grabbed a plate from CHWPS and everything is great now.

ATEi cut and finished a slide to mount mine on. I’ve got it set-up on my G45 as my carry piece. I definitely reccomend checking out one of these guys.

I like this over the Aimpoint ACRO. It has more features and is built like a tank. It can perform in a variety of situations like drops or using it to rack your pistol. It doesn’t cost as much you really get the most bang for your buck!

I’ve been using Trijicon SROs for as long as I can remember and decided to give Holosun a try. I’m glad I did! Besides the features it is built sturdy from titanium, and can handle a drop a lot better than my SRO which cracked after I dropped it from knee height. I’m not too hard on my optics but I need them to be able to handle normal wear and tear from use and this definitely fits the bill.
